Judit Garai

Judit Garai was a student of dramaturgy at the former University of Theatre and Film Arts (SZFE) and later head teacher of the dramaturgy class. She has taught dramaturgs, directors, actors, drama instructors and assistant directors. She is co-lead of the training course for literary translators at the Balassi Institute and holds a seminar on contemporary Hungarian drama. She is a PhD student at the Doctoral School of Literary Studies of Eötvös Loránd University Faculty of Arts, supervised by Dr. Zoltán Imre. She was one of the dramaturgs of PanoDrama, founded by Anna Lengyel, where documentary dramas were created using the verbatim method. She has also been the creator of numerous community and participatory theatre projects. She has also worked in theatre and with independent groups in Budapest, on the countryside and beyond the border. For more than three years, she was editor-in-charge and editor-in-chief of Partizán, a hungarian public-political YouTube channel.
